I have always been interested in the relationship between the internal and external and history, in general. As my practice develops, my own personal history is becoming more and more important. I would like to unearth and superimpose it upon and in relation to much broader historical references. As an artist, I believe that art can be of great use in helping to explore history. Through the process of art-making, fragments of history and reality can be collated, from which re-imagined and untold images and stories can emerge.
